Fallen Angels part 1

This is a pure work of fiction, this includes all characters and names. If there are anything in this story that is related to anything that actually happened, it is purely coincidence.


   It was the first day of the new school year. I was already prepared for the questions that I was going to be asked the moment I rolled through that door. I worked as a school teacher all my life, except when I served in the Army as an Airborne Ranger in World War II. I am sitting n the teachers lounge in my wheel chair, talking to one of the young teachers about how I hope this school year would go great. The bell rang and I waited for the halls to clear out before I went to my class. Big red letters on my door marked it,"World History", my favorite subject to teach. I entered the room, while simultaneously yelling," Quiet down class and take your seats. My name is Mr. James Silver, and I am your world history teacher." I looked around and saw everyone staring at me and the chair. I casually grinned at them all, looking around.
"Well, what are you staring at?" I asked with a large grin. A student in the front slowly raised his hand and proceeded to ask," I mean no offense sir, but what happened?"
   I turned my head to him with a big smile," I am glad you asked." I turned to the entire class with my grin still in place," I am 89 years old and I have served in the Army during World War II." This started a murmur within all of my students. The same student that asked me the previous question asked again," But what happened?" I turned to him and looked him dead in the eyes," Well, if you really want to know, I would have to begin with a story about my youth. Would that be interesting, class?". This started a quick discussion between all of my students, which turned into unified agreements.
   "Well then," I said," Get cozy. Its a long story."


I apologize that it's so short. I just want some feedback on how this is and what I can do better. I will be posting more soon.
